I've yet to decide on a career that I want to fully pursue, but Engineering as a whole has always piqued my interest. I was inspired from seeing the amazing things that people have been able to create, by improving currently existing thing, and creating things that make life much more easier. I've always loved solving problems and that is essentially what engineering is. Even though I've yet to fully decide on my path in life I feel like this field is right for me because I constantly look for the optimal solutions to problems. I'm not sure in the slightest for what particular field of Engineering I'd want to pursue as I find all fields to be interesting.
Currently at the moment I'm taking Pre-Calculus (I have taken Algebra 2 and Geometry) mathematics are an integral part of the career choice I am attempting to pursue. I'm also currently taking an Engineering Class at the James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center. This class will heavily teach me the skills I need to obtain a successful career in engineering. So far I have learned how to keep my ideas organized and the Engineering design process.
In the 8th grade I was a member of the National Junior Honors Society, at Margaret Brent Middle School. It taught me to take initiative and it improved my leadership skills, along with helping me benefit my community and aiding my fellow peers. I play Tennis which has taught me to cooperate and to work well with others. I have been employed, I learned how to communicate with my employers and to speak clearly. By working at my previous place of employment I learned to work well with my co-workers and I obtained customer service experience which is beneficial for many if not all careers.
I plan to be able to attend a 4-year college. Doing so will open up many options and career choices, since college degrees are very important in the field I'm trying to get employed in. I do have a back-up plan incase I'm unable to go to a 4-year college right away. If I'm unable to go to a 4-year college straight after graduating from Highschool I will then go to community college. While being there for around 1-2 years I will hopefully earn an associates degree then go to a 4 year college.
After achieving my Career goals I very much hope to make a positive change in the community around me. I want to assist and help people, I can't say for sure if I'll be able to make much of an impact. But I will try my very hardest to make a positive difference in the world. I most likely won't be able to be able to help the world on my own, but I hope to be apart of helping it.
