1. Make up pairings for competition.
2. Submit roster of players with their Handicap Index to the hosting course contact by the Thursday at the latest, and earlier if possible, prior to the event. Advise of any dietary restrictions for the meal.
3. Communicate with your own club’s team members on what the format is for the upcoming match, who they are paired against and what the rules for the competition are.
4. Ensure that your team players understand the rules and scoring of match play.
5. Attend Spring and Fall Captain's Meetings.
1. Prior to the Captain’s meeting in March/April, please provide your club’s date for hosting to the Executive, as well as rain dates*.
2. Organize and advise of meal options.
3. Send a reminder email to Division Club Captains the week before with tee times. Include
a. details and instructions of the match being played.
b. The tee box being use.
c. That meals are mandatory.
4. Prepare scorecards using the appropriate handicapping format as per the handicap information in the Solheim Guide.
5. Communicate competition handicaps, pairings, and match format and rules to the other captains at least a day prior to the match.
6. Pass completed score sheet and folder to the next home captain.
7. Send results of the matches to participating team captains cc. Yolanda Henry at yolanda88henry@gmail.com. Photos are great too.
8. Advise your Club Pro of the results of the match in any Club newsletter.
*The rain date is used only when conditions are deemed unplayable, a decision to be made jointly by the Pro Shop and the Host Captain.
