Privacy Policy for Ever After: Wedding Planner
Last updated: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Ever After: Wedding Planner mobile application ("Ever After," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information. By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
Our approach: your plan stays on your device
Ever After is an offline-first wedding planner. Everything you enter — your names, wedding date, budget, guest list, vendors, seating plan, timeline, and every other detail — is stored only in a private database on your own phone. We do not operate accounts, we do not have a server that stores your wedding data, and your planning information is never uploaded to us or transmitted off your device by the app.
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in control of it. You can export a backup file at any time from the Setup screen, and you can delete all of it instantly by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
Information collected through third-party services
While your planning data stays on your device, the app uses a small number of third-party services that may collect limited information for their own purposes:
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Ever After displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. To provide ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect:
Device or other identifiers — such as your device's advertising ID (a resettable identifier), used to serve and measure advertising.
Approximate location — a coarse, per-request location derived at the time an ad is requested, used to serve relevant ads.
This information is collected and processed by Google, not by us, and is shared with Google for advertising and measurement purposes. It is transmitted using encryption in transit.
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the UK, and similar regions), the app shows a consent prompt (Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalized-ads data is collected, and it honors your choice. Users who upgrade to the premium (paid) version see no ads.
You can learn more about how Google uses this information at Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google's advertising practices page (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads). You can reset or clear your advertising ID in your device's system settings.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
If you buy a premium subscription or one-time upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not see or store your payment card details or billing information; those are handled entirely by Google Play. The app only receives confirmation of whether an entitlement is active, which is stored on your device so your purchase keeps working offline.
Affiliate links
Ever After includes links to third-party retailers (such as Zazzle) for wedding products like save-the-dates, invitations, thank-you cards, and seating charts. These links are marked as partner links within the app. If you make a purchase through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
These are standard web links. Tapping one simply opens the retailer's website in your device's browser. We do not share any of your personal information or your planning data with these retailers. Any information you provide on a retailer's website is governed by that retailer's own privacy policy, not this one.
Permissions the app uses
Internet access — required to load ads, complete purchases through Google Play, and open partner/affiliate links in your browser.
Photos / media (via the system file picker) — if you choose to attach an inspiration photo (for example, on the Theme screen), the app accesses only the specific image you select through Android's document picker. Photos remain on your device.
Notifications (optional) — used to show reminders you set within the app. You can allow or deny this, and change it anytime in your device settings.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your wedding-planning data with anyone. The only data sharing that occurs is the limited advertising information collected by Google AdMob (described above) and the transaction handling performed by Google Play Billing. Affiliate retailers receive only whatever you choose to provide on their own websites.
Data retention and deletion
Your planning data is retained on your device until you delete it. Because we do not store your data on any server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. To remove all of your data, clear the app's storage in your device settings or uninstall the app. Advertising identifiers are managed by Google and your device settings.
Children's privacy
Ever After is intended for adults planning a wedding and is not directed to children. The app is rated for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Your planning data is stored in the app's private storage area on your device, which is protected by the Android operating system. Information handled by third-party services (Google AdMob and Google Play) is transmitted using encryption in transit. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we and our service providers take reasonable measures to protect information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
