For tight, professional sound, audio files should be trimmed & normalized prior to import. If your station does not already have an application that you use for audio production & editing, contact support for the Arrakis Mass Audio Conversion software.
If you don't know your audio format, check in Windows Explorer, 'Details' view & enable the Bit Rate column.
There are many free audio conversion applications available online. The Arrakis Mass Audio Conversion software will, also, convert your audio to the proper format.
Are the music files properly tagged?
Check in Windows Explorer, 'Details' view.
If your files are tagged, you will see the song title & artist information in the Title, & Contributing artist columns.
Files not tagged? Artist & Title information or Ad information in the file name?
You may use a third party renaming app to add a cart number of up to 8 digits to the file name, or do so manually in Windows Explorer.
For example: Rename 'Joe Schmoes Bakery.wav' to '600000+Joe Schmoes Bakery.wav'
The plus (+) symbol informs Xtreme that the characters preceding the (+) are the cart number. The information following will be automatically placed in the title field.
For easy searching, decide in advance a cart number range according to file type &/or music genre. Cart numbers may have up to 8 alpha/numeric digits.
For example: Spots = 600000, Current Hits = 100000, Classic Rock = 200000. Liners, & so on.
We recommend that you create individual folders for each file type.
