Sound Card Setup
There will need to be, at least, 2 sound cards available in order to be able to be on-air with the Automation or Live Players, and be able to cue & record simultaneously. The directions below assume you are using an Arrakis board with a USB sound card.
You are welcome to install a second sound card or use a different brand of console with a sound card instead.
The instructions below set the Automation Player to the On Board PC Sound card.
The Live Player, Cue Player & Record to USB Sound Card in the Arrakis Board, so that the board may be offline for record while you are still Automating on the air with New~Wave.
Setup Automation Player Sound Card In New Wave:
In New Wave software, go to Setup/Sound Cards
In the Windows Play Sound Card List box, click on the on board pc sound card
Press Assign button for the Automation Play Field
Setup Live, Record and Cue Sound Cards In New Wave
Go to Setup/Sound Cards
In the Windows Play Sound Card List box, click on the USB Audio Codec in both Windows Play and Windows record sound card list.
Press Assign button for Live Play, Cue Play, and Record
In the Windows Record Sound Card List box, click on the sound card that is NOT assigned to Live/Automation
Press Assign button for Record
