Have 2 sound cards
Have sound cards properly assigned
Be properly wired
Encode format set
Sound Card Set-Up in New Wave:
Go to Setup/Soundcards screen
In the Windows Sound Card List, click on the sound card to record from (Must be different a different sound card than Live/Automation Play card)
Press the Assign button in the Record Box
Windows Sound card setup:
Go to the Control Panel
Double click on Sound
Click on the Recording tab
Click on the same sound card that was assigned for recording in New Wave
Press Set Default
Double click on the sound card
Go to the Advanced Tab
Set format to 16 bit 44100Hz 16bit stereo
Uncheck both Exclusive Mode boxes
Press Apply and OK
Press OK
Set Encode Format in New Wave:
Click on Setup/Set Record Format
Press OK
Select PCM 44.100 kHz, 16bit, Stereo 172 kb/sec
Voice track wiring, using a console, if on-board pc sound card is selected for recording:
Wire the Audition output from the console to the blue Line-In on the pc (1/8" jack)
