To prof. G. Peano in Turin

Esteemed director!

I thank you very much for the honourable mention in your first circular. It is too honourable: the first one who showed the existence of the universal language was Mr. A. Liptay.

Regarding the organ of the Academy, I cannot take the editing of a large journal upon me. Maybe Mr. de Wahl will take this job; I have written to him following Mr. Molenaar's proposition. — You had written that Mr. Bonto was ready to take up the editing. Why did you not mention him in your last postcard dated 1 February?

I commiserate that you have changed the name of the Academy. The name is a (certain type of) company. If the company is good, one keeps it.

You wanted my help regarding Idiom Neutral for your circulars. I think that I promised it, — but your circulars are in Latino sine flexione!

What result did your correspondence wih Prof. Couturat have regarding the fusion of the Academies?

I think that the Academy will not be able to publish a large journal because of the small number of people interested in so specific a journal. I think that a suitable name would be “Acts (or Debates or Transactions) of the International Academy of the Universal Language”, the official part of which will contain your circulars.

With respectful salutations, your most devoted servant

Rosenberger
