To Prof. G. Peano in Turin, Italy

Much esteemed sir!

The five-year term of the current director of the International Academy of the Universal Language, Rev. M. A. F. Holmes in Macedon, N. Y., ends in May 1908.

Because you critiqued Idiom Neutral well, the result of the Academy's labours, I have the honour to ask you, esteemed sir, to advise me whether you will accept a possible selection as director of the named institute. Without a doubt, you know its statutes; in spite of this, I am sending them to you and I ask you to observe that the Academy is totally free in its lavours, i.e. the labours of the Academy are not limited (while the Permanent Commission of the Committee[a] of Délégation pour l'ad... has regrettably received limiting instruction).

Hoping to receive an affirmative response shortly, I remain with a respectful salutation,

Your most devoted servant,
Rosenberger
