And Thank YOU for supporting Needham Student Theatre!
Hello and Welcome to Needham Student Theatre’s 24-hour Production of A Christmas Carol!
These last twentyish hours have been full of semi-controlled chaos and fun as we quickly prepared this age-old classic for the stage! This idea first stemmed from someone proposing to put on a play with a period of only a day and with a budget of zero dollars. While many, including I, were terrified of this concept, with the influence of a few brave souls, NST agreed to take on this project. Now we have cast, directed, teched, produced, costumed, and cleaned this show in only the span of 24 hours--split up over two days in the interest of remaining sane and maintaining the legality of our building permit. We show you here a depiction of the hard work of our performers, techies, stage managers, and directors, all under the age of 20, demonstrating that the magic of the stage is not restricted to a high budget or a lenient schedule. Whether this is your introduction to the work of Needham Student Theatre, or you are a long-time NST patron, I hope you choose to support us as we continue to explore the creative possibilities of a completely student-run theater. It would be a great holiday gift if you choose to stop by one of our donation baskets or scan the QR codes!
Happy holidays from our NST family!
One of your directors,
Nadia Tess.
