An afternoon of conversation, art, and intergenerational connection
What does a lifetime of curiosity look like?
Join us for a special evening as we gather for lunch with a retired scientist whose passion for discovery did not end with retirement. Over the past three decades, she has devoted herself to ceramic art, creating hundreds of unique works that now fill her home with beauty, imagination, and stories.
Following lunch, she will welcome us into her home to share her remarkable collection and the personal journey behind it—how a lifetime in scientific research evolved into a lifelong pursuit of artistic expression.
This visit is especially meaningful because it marks our return eight years after our first visit. We look forward not only to seeing how her artistic journey has continued to flourish, but also to reconnecting with a friend whose life reminds us that learning and creativity never have an age limit.
As part of the Bridging Generations (世代同歡) Project, we especially encourage younger generations to join us. Beyond admiring beautiful ceramic art, this is an opportunity to step into the world of an older generation—to listen to a lifetime of experiences, discover unexpected passions, and appreciate the many ways a meaningful life continues to unfold.
Sometimes, the most inspiring stories are found not in museums, but in someone's home.
(The photographs below were taken during our first visit eight years ago, on May 19, 2018. We look forward to returning and discovering the new creations that have been added since then.)
