About NATWA-NJ
NATWA-NJ (North America Taiwanese Women's Association – New Jersey Chapter) is dedicated to strengthening the Taiwanese American community by fostering connection, supporting families, and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement across generations.
Through educational, cultural, and community-based initiatives, we strive to build a welcoming environment where people of all ages can learn from one another, celebrate shared heritage, and contribute to a vibrant future together.
About the Bridging Generations (世代同歡) Project
NATWA-NJ launched the Bridging Generations (世代同歡) Project to bring together Taiwanese Americans of different generations, backgrounds, and levels of community involvement.
As our community continues to evolve, each generation carries unique experiences, perspectives, and ways of connecting to family, culture, and identity. Through conversations, shared activities, and collaborative learning, we hope to foster deeper understanding and strengthen the relationships that unite us.
Our goal is not only to bridge generational differences, but also to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
Together, we hope to build a stronger, more connected Taiwanese American community for generations to come.
The Generations Survey: Identity, Family, and Community
To better understand how we Taiwanese American families across generations, ages, and backgrounds view ourselves and our relationships with family, culture, and community, we are conducting an anonymous survey.
Unless voluntarily provided, no personally identifiable information will be collected. The survey is available in both English and Traditional Chinese.

Although the sample size is still relatively small, our preliminary findings already offer valuable insights into who may be experiencing the greatest stress, what factors are contributing to it, and where communication gaps may exist between generations.
We hope to gather more responses in order to better understand both the shared concerns and diverse experiences within our community. These insights will help guide future efforts to foster connection, mutual understanding, and support across generations.
Every voice matters. Your participation will help us build a stronger and more connected community.
