Protecting our Democracy

Trump and Musk are working on a Coup D’etat to change our democracy into an authoritarian dictatorship without the people’s permission by use of force and fear. An authoritarian means being submissive to a leader and removing your freedoms. A dictator is a political leader that acts as a king and creates oppressive conditions for their people. Often oppressive leaders remove intelligent people from positions of power in order to keep the people from fighting back. Trump and his administration have done this by removing 284,000 government workers essential for government jobs by DOGE. Trump also put ignorant people and science deniers in charge government agencies that work with science to protect our climate, water, health, and air. Trump is trying to remove the power away from the people, so he can be the only authority. Trump, is also cutting Medicaid, and Snap and other low-income programs to keep the money for him and his inner circle. Trump does not feel empathy towards anyone who is hungry, dying, struggling or suffering in any way. The United States was not made for King, and we will not bow down. We can protect our democracy by fighting back, and I will create legislation called “The Union Act” to work with other states to protect our people and keep our democracy.
