1 Double zone furnance
2 single zone furnances
Double zone furnace is provided from Metrex Scientific Instruments having two separate zones (Zone 1 and Zone 2) for the growth of various materials like 2D and 1D nanostructures. Zone 1 has a maximum working temperature of 500oC and Zone 2 has a maximum working temperature of 1000oC. Different materials like CNTs, MoS2, graphene etc. can be grown in the provided tubular furnace.
Field Emission
Field emission (FE) is a process of emission of electrons in a vacuum from cathode to anode (via quantum tunnelling) when an electric field is applied between them. Our field emission setup can attain ultra-high vacuum in the range of 10-7 Pa using Turbo Molecular Pump. Keithley 2000 multimeter is used as a voltage source and Stanford Research Systems, Inc. is used as a current source during the measurements. It is connected to LabVIEW software (with FE measurement program) for the measurement of real-time I-V characteristics of the material
