The Air Rifle team at NA JROTC teaches cadets how to safely and accurately handle and shoot 4.5 mm target air rifles. Members of the Air Rifle team will have opportunities to go and compete at various levels. These include JROTC Postal matches, JROTC Regional competitions, Army, USMC, Navy & Air Force JROTC Championships, and the National JROTC Championship. Members of the Air Rifle team will have to complete a safety and basic marksmanship instruction and qualification firing test. The team will practice once a week with 4.5mm target air rifles at a shooting range. Members will have the opportunity to learn how to shoot the target air rifle 10m away from the target.
