This week was to learn more about basics of circuit connections , And I learnt how to light up a LED or make a sound with the buzzer ,and controlling them with different types of resistors .
I started to make the Exercises first to try out this connections , Then the assignment was to make a simple electronic device that makes two actions , I though of making a very music box (Rotates , makes a sound and could be lighted up with different light intensities ) , that have it's idea
software used : Tinker cad ,
To create circuits and simulate it before making it physically
Simple electronic device (Music box )
Main components used
The only difference in these components is that I used a 6volt battery instead of 9 volt to make the motor rotate slower

ON tinker cad
To start making the music box I started to connect the whole circuit on tinker cad then I made it physically .
Firstly I was thinking about how to make it rotate so I thought of using a DC motor , so I connected the battery to the breadboard , then connected the Motor to it , but after connecting the 9volt battery I found the motor rotating with a high speed so I changed it with the 6volt battery
The positive side connected to the battery and then the negative side is connected to the switch button
Then to make the sound of the music box , I connected a buzzer to the circuit and a side of it is connected to the potentiometer to control the sound of the buzzer , so I connected the buzzer with terminal 1 of the potentiometer , and connected the wiper with the switch button , to make it more safe , added a 320 Ohm resistor to the buzzer
-To add another option to the music box and make it light up I added a LED lamp to the circuit and connected it to the same potentiometer of the buzzer to control It's light intensity , so I connected the positive side of it to the battery and the cathode to terminal 1 of the potentiometer , but I added a
The led lamp is connected in parallel to the buzzer and both are in series to the potentiometer
Device physically
After the simulation on tinker cad , I started to make the circuit on a breadboard , and connected power supply 6volt ,
-The first thing was the connection of the buzzer , I connected the positive side of it to the circuit and the negative side to the switch ,after this I wanted to control it's sound so connected it to a potentiometer and connected the wiper of the potentiometer to the switch (Buzzer and potentiometer in series )
After this , I connected the LED from the positive side to the circuit and the negative side to terminal 1 of the potentiometer (The same of the buzzer )
so that LED and buzzer are connected in parallel
The last step was to connect the motor to allow the rotational movement of the music box ,I connected it with the switch so that the whole circuit works together
After finishing the circuit I started to fabricate the box that I will put the circuit inside it , I used foam boards and cardboard
1.Cut out the parts of the box
2.Then I made 2 holes to insert the LED and the motor inside it
2.Sticked the parts together using a glue gun , and stick the rotating part to the end of the motor .
3. After this I tried to make it work but the motor didn't rotate , this is because of the LED so I decided to remove the Led Outside the shape .
Ok at the End , this was not what I expected when I was thinking about a music box =D , But after I finished the device I think it could work more as FAN not a music box =D
-Yes I had a feedback in the open time and knew that I had problems in part s of the connection ( As connecting the motor to a potentiometer )
I had problems during the measurement of the Volt and current of the device , but I asked the instructor and he gave me an example so I understood this point
Also The circuit connection was wrong because I firstly connected the motor to a potentiometer , and connected the Led to terminal 2 and the buzzer to terminal 1 which made it a fixed resistor , I understood this from my instructor and changed it
At this week , I learned More about circuits and connections , this might help me to make the circuit of the final project (Using buzzer ,sensor, LED light )
