Ramadan is more than just fasting - it is about sharing our wealth equally with each other. This March, MyVo hosted a special program "MyIftar" to collect donations and have a delightful iftar with tahfiz students at Maahad Tahfiz Al-Quran Al-Islah, Shah Alam. The purpose of this initiative is to promote doing good deeds in the holy month and to share prosperity equally among each other (SDG2). The fundraising initiatives was held throughout March and topped of with the unique iftar gatherings on the 26th.

The special event started through an exclusive fundraising event by MyVolunteer. In the once in a blue moon event, MyVolunteer officially created its first and limited edition MyVo Sampul Raya and MyIftar button badge as fundraising items for this event. In addition to that, a sincere donation platform are also provided for people who have a pure heart in donating towards noble deeds.
We are amused by large the amount of people who contributed openly and anonymously throughout the fundraising campaign. Alas, we managed to gather more than RM500 worth of donations and sufficient funds to carry out the iftar program with the students at MTQI.

A Special Occasion
At the end of March, MyVo visited MTQI to host an iftar night with them. The volunteers are filled with joy to see such amusement by the students getting to engage with new people and eat delicious delicacies. At the end of the day, the volunteers managed to give out donations worth around RM700 towards the institution and hope that the good deeds will be rewarded. A huge thanks to everyone involved in this event - from fundraising until the iftar night - for making this Ramadan an amazing month for the people by making charity and helping them who are in need.
