MyVolunteer gathered passionate students for “Clean Up”, an environmental initiative at Bukit Jelutong Eco Community Park. The event aimed to promote sustainability and inspire students to care for their surroundings. Aligned with SDG 13: Climate Action, it encouraged teamwork and responsibility toward creating a cleaner, greener community.
The event started off with cheerful energy as participants gathered and enjoyed breakfast before the BJEC staff conducted a short briefing on safety and task assignments. Everyone was then divided into groups and assigned different parts of the park to clean. Activities included litter picking, grass trimming, and lake rinsing, each carried out with teamwork and enthusiasm. Even when light rain began to fall, the volunteers’ spirits remained high. The day concluded with a lively group photo and a donation presented to the Bukit Jelutong Eco Community team as a token of appreciation.
By the end of the event, the park looked cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for visitors. Beyond improving the space, “Clean Up” also deepened participants’ understanding of sustainability and the importance of collective action. MyVolunteer’s efforts proved that small steps taken together can make a big difference — turning a simple clean-up into a meaningful act of environmental care and community unity.
