EXPLORING

The beginning of the mission or when you are accomplishing levels. It should make the gamer feel alert and focused, but should not give away the approaching challenges ahead.  This music needs to be present but cannot dominate the gamer's attention.

FINDING

This is the music that accompanies collecting treasure, speaking with characters, or entering new challenges. It is mysterious, undecided, and uncertain.  The gamer should notice the shift in the music as a cue that something in the game has changed.


BATTLE

You have reached the end of the level.  You must battle the Big Boss to complete the challenge and continue the quest.  The music here should be strong, harsh, and aggressive.  It should make the gamer feel nervous and a bit stressed.  Its all riding on this!


VICTORY

You did it!  You won!  It is time to celebrate!  The music should communicate the relief on winning.  It should not only match the style of the game, but also the feeling of satisfaction the gamer is experiencing.
