“AI Explorers” is a new student-led interest club that teaches young minds to understand the vast impact of artificial intelligence. Currently, AI is transforming every field and rapidly becoming more important in society. Our club will educate members about what AI is, how it will affect their futures, and encourage deep thinking about how it can be utilized for good. We will host events such as listening to guest speakers, holding AI bias detection workshops, and having discussions about how equitable AI is. The Criminology Club aims to provide an educational and inclusive environment for all students interested in criminology, whether it be a career in forensics, crime, law, or an interest in the field. Through our hands-on labs, interactive crime scene games, and educational discussions, we aim to foster a community of students who all share the same passion for understanding the scientific and legal side of crime. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a group where students come together to grow in their faith and support each other. You don’t have to be an athlete to join—everyone is welcome. The Gender and Sexuality Alliance is a student-led group that seeks to provide a safe space for queer or questioning youth at Myers Park. During our bi-weekly meetings we discuss current LGBTQIA+ issues and events, and engage in education of queer and transgender health and safety. Girls in STEM (GIS) is an international non-profit dedicated to empowering high school girls to explore and succeed in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our mission is to help close the gender gap in STEM by reaching students at a pivotal age—when many start to decide whether these fields are “for them.” Through our three pillars—inspiring guest speakers, engaging STEM learning, and community outreach—we aim to show that STEM is not only exciting and creative, but also full of real opportunities. The Good Planet Club was created to help educate the students of Myers Park about the effects we, as humans, have on the environment and how we can make a difference. This club will determine different ideas and ways to lessen the impact of our global footprint to strive to sustain and maintain our natural resources. At each monthly meeting, the Good Planet Club will focus on a specific environmental problem, discuss the positive impact our group can make, and then educate our fellow students to possible solutions. The Good Planet Club will promote change to help maintain, sustain, and save the planet and its resources. This club gives an opportunity for students to share their ideas, to educate fellow students and to provide action steps to drive a positive impact on the environment by making small changes in our everyday lives. MP Greenhouse Club operates the inside and outside areas of the greenhouse. We grow all sorts of plants using planter beds and vines along the fence outdoors as well as an aquaponics system (with fish!) inside. The Mustang Airwaves Radio Station is a club for musically-inclined students who are interested in developing on-air talent, creating a collaborative, school-wide student playlist, promoting diverse genres of music, and participating in other programming to support school activities. The Myers Park Student Productions Club will focus on students' interest in filmmaking and their love for movies. Throughout the school year, we will be working on one short film. The Myers Park Student Productions Club values building teamwork and communication skills through fun activities such as discussions about different directors, a top four Letterboxd movies game, learning about cinematographers, and reading scripts. This club will be an opportunity for Myers Park Students to connect and share their love for creating movies. We will have meetings where we delve into the specifics of filmmaking by having a scriptwriting workshop for example. We hope to inspire students to create their own films and motivate them to learn more about the movies they already love.

The Rock Climbing Club is a student-led organization that introduces and teaches students about the different aspects of the sport of rock climbing. The Yoga and Mindfulness Club is a student-led group dedicated to promoting student wellness, inner peace, and both physical and mental health. We believe that the wellness of the body leads to the wellness of the mind, and we focus on yoga as a way to support that balance. Our meetings often feature guest volunteers or educational videos to help students learn and practice different styles of yoga and mindfulness techniques. In addition to yoga, we incorporate fun activities like games to build community and promote relaxation. Sometimes, we even enjoy cookies together to create a warm, welcoming environment. Through movement, mindfulness, and stress management practices, we aim to provide a supportive space where students can recharge, connect, and take care of themselves.
