Math Club

We will meet at least every two weeks, and have online and take home practice tests to prepare for regional and national competitions. We will also allow our members to be tutored by others in the club for their math needs/homework. We will do this to ensure that math is not seen as intimidating, but an open subject to all levels/people. We plan to get advice from the UNCC math department on enrolling into competition. Some of these competitions will be online.

Model UN

Model United Nations (or MUN) is an international educational simulation where students come together to find solutions to global issues. MUN allows for students to grow their confidence in areas of research, public speaking, collaboration, and debating. It strengthens problem-solving skills and gives students an amazing understanding of current and past global issues. At Myers Park, MUN is always welcoming new members with any level of experience. We attend multiple conferences a year, some are better for more experienced participants while others are perfect for newcomers. Additionally, during club meetings we prepare for conferences so everyone goes in feeling confident.
