Our Sr. Girls Basketball Team competed at Provincials last week at the Langley Events Centre - and placed 8th out of 16 teams!!! Way to go girls! Congratulations on amazing teamwork and great determination. Additional congratulations to Iyra Puno, who was awarded 2nd All Star Award for the whole tournament! Awesome job ladies!!

The gym reverberated with the excitement of seeing our Jr. Boys Basketball team win their last game, at the time of this publication, in a very close game against Prince George! It was awesome to see our whole school cheering with their best school colours on and a palpable school spirit!

The Mustang Classic Basketball tournament is for its 15th year! We are so excited to have our whole school cheering for our teams! Green and Gold spirit day was in full swing with many students and staff sporting their school colours! Go Mustangs!!!
SRS. VS. STAFF
Our annual game of staff vs senior teams was back after a long hiatus this week…and what a match it was! The whole school came out to witness an incredible performance by both teams. It is true that the staff thought they had this in the bag in the beginning, but halfway through, the senior teams (both girls and boys) came back to win the sets in a very civilized and even match. Despite some shenanigans that earned a few members yellow cards from former grad and game referee Kassandra P., all team players were on their best behaviour. In the end, everyone had fun and the seniors showed the seniors that no matter how old you are, you can still have “game”.
The cheering squad was also on point, with cheer captain (Mrs. Uhrich) assuring us that next year we'll get uniforms!

Congratulations to the grade 12 student-athletes, Taylor Melnyk, Sarah Donick, Emma Uhrich, Jaimie Wallace, Reine Alaji, Adanna Eziekwu, and Emilia Hanzek and to our team manager London Thalheimer on outstanding careers as Mustangs!
GOLDEN GIRLS
The Sr. Girls Soccer Team travelled to South Surrey from May 31st to June 2nd for the 2023 Provincial Championships. The Mustangs entered the tournament ranked as the number 1 team and looked to win their third straight Provincial Championship (2019, 2022).
SOCCER GIRLS AT CATHOLICS
Our Sr. Girls Soccer team just came back from Vancouver where they competed in the 2023 Catholics Schools Championship. They placed 4th in a very tough tournament. Congratulations girls!
