For a day, students at Immac get to participate in different activities and ponder, what it is to be a Mustang. Teambuilding, creativity, fun, and faith, are all points that the day touches on and is meant to build students up as they form community. This year, students enjoyed a lot of outdoor time, which, with the weather the way it has been, was in itself a blessing and a curse! Thank you Mr. Witkowski for going around Munson’s pond 5 times! The yearly themes for Mustang Day center around the following.
Grade 8: Mustang 101
Grade 9: What kind of Mustang do I want to be?
Grade 10: Where is my place as a Mustang?
Grade 11: Being a Mustang Leader
Grade 12: Mustang Legacy – What is my legacy going to be?
It is our hope that as the students mature and grow up in this community they will find their place in it and become the best Mustang they can be.
This week, the grads went on their last high school retreat at Green Bay Bible Camp! Beautiful weather, fun games, good laughs, quiet adoration, beautiful memories, Mass in a jungle chapel, inspiring words from Mr. B, 9 square every moment spared, pickle ball with Mr. K, a lakeside hike, late night chats with students and teachers, and a tiny bit of sleep.
“Twas the day before Christmas break and all through the school, not a student was focused not even on stools. There was locker clean out and some treasures were found. But good Mr. O said old sandwiches were foul. While visions of sleeping-in danced in their heads, Mr. K said they still had to finish their threads. Then out from the gym arose such a clatter, they sprang to their feet and rushed to see what was the matter. And there in the good ‘ol Mustangs hanger, you could hear that Student council was playing a great banger. The moon on the cusp of the mountains afar, was barely visible at only two forty five. When what to our wondering eyes did appear, but a large cardboard sleigh and two not so small elves. With a driver who didn’t know if he’d live to make it around the kink, we knew without a doubt it was supposed to be St. Nick. The rest as they say is history, but not without delay, all of the school Mustangs were dismissed to start their holiday. And from the back parking lot you could hear the small voice of one dear Mr. Puno exclaim as we all drove out of sight—“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
🎃 Halloween Week Wrap-Up – A Spooktacular Success! 👻
What an incredible week of Halloween fun! From mummy wraps and spider relays to pumpkin carving and our delicious bake sale, the whole school was buzzing with excitement and creativity.
Our costume competition was a major highlight, featuring so many amazing, funny, and frightfully clever entries—it was tough for our teacher judges to choose! The school spirit on display was truly outstanding and made for a fantastic finale to the week.
Congratulations to Jasper Woodman, the grand prize winner of our School-Wide Clue Game! His sharp detective work led him to solve Wadsworth the butler’s mysterious puzzle just in time.
A huge thank-you goes out to our wonderful teachers Mr. Kouwenhoven, Mrs. Vos, Mrs. Uhrich, Mr. Pennekamp, and Mrs. Sali, who played the roles of suspects in our Clue game and helped bring the mystery to life. And an extra-special thank-you to Mrs. Rantucci for all her time, support, and everything she does to help Student Council make events like this possible.
