920 Fundamentals of Dance

Level 3: One year                               1.0 credit                                                   Grades 9-12

Prerequisite:  No previous dance experience necessary

Students will learn the basics of dance techniques in a fun, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.  Students will gain confidence in understanding how t move their bodies, learn basic choreography, and the importance of dance in society.  No previous dance skills are required for this class.

Level 3: One year 1.0 credit Grades 9-12

Prerequisite:  Previous dance instruction and knowledge of techniques encouraged

Students will receive technical training in modern dance and ballet.  This course is recommended for students who have previous dance training and is looking to strengthen their understanding of dance techniques, choreography, and dance history.
