We first identify basic elements of organizational structure. Next, we describe traditional and contemporary organizational designs. Then we explore influencers on organizational designs. We conclude by an assignment of today's organizational design challenges.
This lecture describes how organizations manage change. It first examines the nature of organization change and identify the basic issues of managing change. We then identify and describe major areas of change, including business process change, a major type of change undertaken by many firms.
