Check in with Mr. Sarabia so he can provide you with a camera and a vest.
Check the lens, memory card and battery.
Have Mr. Sarabia check you out in 5 Star.
You will only get 20 minutes to be outside of the classroom. At the end of 20 minutes, your 5 star pass will expire and you must return to the classroom.
You cannot be out 15 minutes after the class starts or 15 minutes before the class ends.
You must put on the Digital Media Vest and have it on at all times so the hall monitors don't bother you. You can't just carry it.
Unless you get a pass to go to a specific location, you must be within visible distance of the DMA classroom doors. That way if you get called from the office or if I have something to tell you, I can see you and reach you quickly.
You must adhere to the Content & Digital Norms.
Don't perform or ask others to perform any dangerous activity in order to capture it. Stay safe out there.
You must be actively shooting pictures or recording video the ENTIRE time. If you are sitting down, talking to friends, scrolling on your phone or just hanging out you will be asked to return to the classroom immediately.
Don't hold up other students who are going to the restroom. Work with your partner to get the shots you need.
Keep the camera strap around you neck at all times.
Only share your camera with your class partner if you have one.
NEVER EVER give the camera to someone who is not a part of the class!
DON'T POINT THE CAMERA AT THE SUN!
Don't go into other classrooms unless previously cleared by that teacher.
During specific photo or video assignments, only 10 people may be out at a time.
All other times, only 3 people may be out at a time.
When you return, immediately transfer any photo or videos to your computer. The cameras are formated often.
