I bring technology in the classroom by showing students digital resources and how to most effectively use technology to complete research.

In my class, we do a unit of Dead Science to cover the natural science component of the course.
Students research a scientific theory from the past, e.g. Miasma Theory, and they have to explain why people believed it, what replaced it, and what does it mean for us to change accepted knowledge.
For my seniors we did a unit explaining American and Mississippi government and specifically focused in on how policy is written and becomes law.
As the final project for the unit, students had to write their own policy brief. The Unit Plan, final project, and examples of student work can be found at this link.
