Being a Junior or a Senior in High School is hard enough; but being a Junior or Senior in High School in an advanced program like IB, having a job, doing extra curriculars, taking care of family, and applying to college? It's no wonder why my students are stressed out and can really struggle to engage in class.
Some of my students would succeed no matter what they do, they just have that "it" factor that makes everything easy to them. That is not something I relate too.
I remember being in high school and having to work so hard to get half as far as my peers; but I remember it was the teachers and the other adults in my life that pushed me to succeed and to always try my best.
