2026–27 Pep Band

Pep band plays at home basketball doubleheaders (girls varsity 6:00 p.m., boys varsity 7:30 p.m., Mount Ayr High School gym). Band call is 6:15 p.m.

Mount Ayr High School Bands

Be Your Best. The high school program includes three ensembles. Use the menu above (High School Bands ▸) or the buttons below to visit each one.

• Concert Band — our core ensemble all year: daily rehearsal, honor band and solo & ensemble opportunities, and IHSMA Large Group Contest in May.

• Marching Band — fall season: the 2026 Daft Punk / The Weeknd show, parades, and competitions, with our new Color Guard and Drumline.

• Jazz Band — begins 2nd quarter. Rehearsals Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:30–8:10 a.m.; sectionals Fridays.

Honor Band Deadlines

SWIBA HS Honor Band registration is due Friday, November 6. Auditions are Saturday, December 12 (snow date December 16).

Parent Volunteer Sign-Up

Our band families make trips, parades, and concerts possible! Volunteers help with things like chaperoning, loading equipment, uniforms, and concessions.
