Job Title: Lead Animator

Salary Range: Min: $69,000 Mid $85,000 Max 109,700
This position is responsible to assist with the development and management of all compensation programs across the MTA. Participates in the development of the compensation strategic plan, and long-term and short-term goals. The role leads a team responsible for the review and approval of all discretionary salary actions for new hires, promotions, and transfers of non-represented staff across all MTA agencies. The role is also responsible for the review and approval of all represented staff wage adjustments across all MTA agencies including but not limited to; negotiated wage increases, special payments, and wage progressions.
Provide one on one support, feedback and mentorship to Animators, ensuring that they are able to achieve the desired look and standards of the project
Provide support to the Animation Supervisor(s), occasionally assisting with assigning tasks and approving shots
Work on the box to set up and animate complex shots
Collaborate with Animators and Supervisors to identify and solve problems, both technically and artistically
Training animators on best practices of ToonBoom Harmony
Required
Substantial experience working within a 2D animation production environment
Strong technical knowledge and abilities in Harmony
Demonstration of traditional animation principles; with an emphasis on timing, spacing, staging, strong storytelling poses and the ability to stay on model
Understanding of acting and emotion in animation
Strong time management and understanding of shifting priorities
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to produce high quality feature level animation
Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
Required
