Program Director
Dr. Deli earned her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. She graduated with her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1998. While there, she was Founder and Chair of Medical Students for Choice. Her residence training in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center from 1998-2002, where she was Administrative Chief Resident in her final year. In 2002, she became a Faculty Attending Physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, now called Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West, and from 2004-2006, she served as Medical Student Program Director. In 2011, Dr. Deli was named Assistant Residency Program Director, a position she held until becoming Program Director in 2019.

Director of Labor and Delivery
Desmond Sutton, MD, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist and is the Director of Labor and Delivery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai West. As Director, Dr. Sutton oversees the Labor and Delivery team and the development and implementation of protocols and programs that enhance quality of care, patient safety and the overall patient experience. Prior to Mount Sinai, Dr. Sutton was with Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he served as Co-Director of the COVID-19 Telehealth Clinic and was a core member in the development of a Maternal Morbidity Review Committee for the New York-Presbyterian Hospital System.
Dr. Sutton earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and, while there, received the Jean L. Cook, MD, Memorial Award for Medical Excellence. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital of Brown University, where he received the Excellence in Teaching Award for three consecutive years, as well as the Excellence in Resident Research Award. Dr. Sutton is a Fellow of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and serves as a member of the Fellowship Affairs Committee and the Healthcare Policy and Advocacy Committee for SMFM.
Director of Hospitalists/Laborists and Director of Postpartum
Dr. Lozano started her academic career at Wheaton College Massachusetts where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2007. She then went on to receive her MA degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She then continued to SUNY Downstate College of Medicine where she graduated with her medical degree in 2014 and was nominated into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Her obstetrics and gynecology residency was started at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 2014 which then joined with Mount Sinai West - St. Luke's. Upon graduating in 2018, she took a job at Mount Sinai West and St. Luke's as an attending physician and became Assistant Program Director in 2019.
Department Chair
Holly Loudon, MD, MPH, is the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside and is an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Loudon leads operations and clinical services for the Department at Mount Sinai West/Mount Sinai Morningside, overseeing the delivery of patient care and safety standards. She also has primary responsibility for directing research and education initiatives within the Department.
In addition, Dr. Loudon serves as Director of Quality and Safety for the Department of OB/GYN for the Mount Sinai Health System, a role she has held since 2012. She previously held the role as Medical Director of Mount Sinai Hospital OB/GYN Associates from 2006-2016.
She received her bachelor's degree in psychology, biology, and women's studies from Rutgers College in 1994. She then graduated with her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in 1998. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Downtown Hospital. She also received a Master of Public Health degree from CUNY Hunter College in 2004.
Vice Chair of Education
Lois E. Brustman, MD, is Vice Chair for Education and the Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Mount Sinai West. In addition, Dr. Brustman is Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is board certified in maternal-fetal medicine and in obstetrics and gynecology. An expert in all areas of high-risk obstetrics, Dr. Brustman has special clinical interests in diabetes in pregnancy, preterm labor, fetal evaluation, and preconception counseling. Additionally, she has been very active in research into diabetes during pregnancy, including diagnosis, glucose control, treatment, and the effect of hypoglycemic medications on mother and fetus. Dr. Brustman graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a bachelor of science degree in biology from Union College, in Schenectady, New York, in 1975. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in 1979, and completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, in 1984. Dr. Brustman continued at Albert Einstein for fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine, graduating in 1988. During her fellowship, she was director of the Medical Student Education Program and medical director for the Prematurity Prevention Program. During the 1990’s, she was director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics, and associate director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center. She joined the faculty at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West (then St. Luke’s-Roosevelt) in 2000, and was director of the Residency Program from 2002 until 2019. During her long career, Dr. Brustman has focused on care for her patients, clinical research, and on the teaching and training of young physicians. She has been a research mentor to dozens of residents and fellows across a range of obstetric topics. In 2005, and again in 2014, the obstetrics and gynecology residents at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West chose her as their best teacher, and recipient of the National Faculty Award of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In 2015, she was inducted as a Fellow with Advanced Membership into the Institute of Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine. She is a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, an elected member of the New York Obstetrical Society, and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
