What's Child Hunger?
Child Hunger is children who experience insecurities with food because they don't have the funding for it. Child hunger can range from parents not having extra money for food, children living in low-income households, and children living in poverty, and these could lead to children not having the nutrients they need to be healthy. Child Hunger has always been a sensitive topic for me, because of those small babies who have to go without, so they can have the other things that are required for their life (shelter and clothing).
Not having food to eat or beverages to drink should be the last thing a child has to worry about. There are many ways that we can all help assist those in need, if you are able.

Why is child hunger important?
Without adequate nutrition, a child's immune system gets compromised, allowing the child to be more easily affected by disease and injury. Children also would have a hard time focusing on their work if they were starving because the last time they ate was yesterday at lunch.
Child Hunger is so important for all people, not just teachers and parents, because no child should have to go without the nutrients they need to survive.
