Cyberbullying can often be related to the electronic posting of mean-spirited messages about a person (such as a student) often done anonymously. Cyberbullying can result in serious problems for those inflicting the harm and those receiving it.  

Cyberbullying can look like:

• Sending mean texts or IMs to someone.

• Pranking someone's cell phone.

• Hacking into someone's gaming or social networking profile.

• Being rude or mean to someone in an online game.

• Spreading secrets or rumors about people online.

• Pretending to be someone else to spread hurtful messages online.
