If you have any further questions on what your child is up to, I encourage you to start a dialogue with them and ask them to show you what they've been learning! We take so many skills that we as adults know for granted, but these students are quick learners and love to show off their knowledge. If that doesn't satisfy your questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Kindergarten students started computer class the last week of October. They are learning how to sign in, and then will practice how to use the computer to play games, navigate to different programs, and become a comfortable with the technology.
Students in first grade learned how to travel safely online via a digital field trip to the Museum of Modern Art. They've also been learning how to use different kids of devices. Some websites work the same on iPads and computers, but some work differently!
Hey parents! Do you know how to be a digital citizen in an online world? Second grade students used lots of creativity, collaboration and innovation to create videos explaining what Digital Citizenship means to them. We also had a lot of fun making them. :)
Second graders have also begun to expand their coding skills through use of the Dash robot. See the video above (on the right) to see the fun Mrs. Abbot's class had using the Dash bots! We spent time creating, coding, collaborating and thinking critically! Coding is awesome.
