You will see two buttons, an orange one and a blue one. This is asking whether you already have a Bandai account. MSGO only works with Japanese Bandai accounts. So if you have a foreign account, or no account at all, click the orange button. If for some reason you already do have a JP Bandai account, click blue.
Luckily for you, this part is in English. Assuming you clicked the orange button above, you'll be greeted with this page. Fill out the information, making sure you set your region to Asia and country to Japan. It doesn't actually check your IP or anything, so no need for a VPN. You'll be sent a verification e-mail. Confirm it, and then fill out your date of birth when it asks.
You'll see this screen, saying that MSGO has successfully been registered to your account.
The following is a small guide on setting up OpenVPN to use VPNGate.
1) Download OpenVPN from here https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/
2) Once it's installed, pick a vpn from the main list on https://www.vpngate.net/en/
You'll want a JP one not operated by "Daiyuu Nobori, Japan. Academic Use Only." as these ones are really slow.
3) Click the OpenVPN Config file download button to download the config for OpenVPN.
4) Place the config in C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config
5) Run OpenVPN, select the config and click connect.
Remember that while OpenVPN is running, all of your traffic is being tunneled. Don't do bandwidth intensive things while playing MSGO or your connection quality will drop.

Mudfish is a popular and well performing paid VPN that offers many benefits over free alternatives. It can selectivly tunnel only traffic from MSGO, so you're free to do other net related activities while you play without ruining your connection. It is also a lot more stable than free VPNs.
Mudfish operates on a payment model where you buy data in advance. 32GB of data cost me $5 AUD and will last for years if only used for MSGO.
Some of the JP nodes don't work with MSGO, but we've had success with Tokyo Azure.
There are guides for setting up Mudfish on other sites, so I won't explain here. If you have any issues, feel free to ask for help on our discord.
Click here here and scroll down to Step 02. Click on the button to download the launcher.
The orange button is the install/update button. The button below it is the file check button should you ever need it. Once it is finished installing, the install button will turn into a start button, which then launches the game.
There are two Gundam Online downloads. Do not download the one marked PT.
The one marked 'PT' is the public test server which is only open when the devs want feedback. The PT client can't play on the normal servers, so make sure you download the one called 機動戦士ガンダムオンライン.
After launching the game and logging in with your Bandai account, you'll be presented with the server select. There are two servers for MSGO, Shangri-La (Top) and Francesca (Bottom). While matchmaking is done between servers, you can only add friends, join platoons, and play with people on your own server. The majority of us are on Shangri-La. Pick the top one.
