MSCRA Registration
(Michigan Stock Car Racers Association)
1. Registration and fee (none for 2020) will be due before the 3rd race the driver is entering for MSCRA points. Only the two most recent races prior to submitting registration will be counted toward MSCRA points.
a. Registration will be free for any driver whose “home” track is MSCRA sanctioned. A home track will be defined as any track that a driver is using a minimum of (8) races to count toward their points total for the series.
i. If the need arises rules are in the works for a track to be “driver” sanctioned. In this case the enforcement of the rules will be done completely all drivers that are registered with MSCRA. In this case there will also be no registration fee required.
b. Registration will be free for any driver whose number of points races at any combination of MSCRA sanctioned tracks are 85% or more of their qualifying points races.
c. Registration fee will be free for the 2020 season.
i. There will be no registration fee for 2020. Instead we are implementing a points bonus per inspection event. There will be up to (5) bonuses issued in the season for a driver each driver that is at one of these inspections. The inspections will be held at the track and be done on race night. A driver must have his car inspected at least once during the season to be eligible for final points standings.
d. Failure to meet at least one of the above guidelines for registration will result in loss of all points at non-sanctioned tracks or complete disqualification at MSCRA’s discretion.
2. By registering for MSCRA you are acknowledging your commitment to run under the MSCRA rules in order to receive points and stay in good standing with the sanction.
3. A driver will be eligible to receive points from any dirt track in Michigan on a regular show night provided the car conforms to the rules posted my MSCRA. It is understood that if a track’s rules are more restrictive than those stated my MSCRA you are still responsible for conforming to their rules and while track penalties are enforced separate from MSCRA a disqualification by any track will be upheld by MSCRA. If running at a track where the rules are deemed to be more open than MSCRA you can still earn MSCRA point as long as you are conforming to the rules posted by MSCRA. However you may still be penalized by MSCRA for violations of the rules even if you are not in violation of track rules, thus keeping any benefits for you finish from the track while still being penalized for the series.
