MSCRA Point Structure
(Michigan Stock Car Racers Association)
1. Weekly ‘A’ Feature win is 50 points, with each subsequent position worth one point less, with 25th position in feature worth 26 points. If more than 25 cars start feature, all positions from 25th back receive 26 points. If track runs a ‘B’ feature(s), first non-transferring driver receives 25 points and each subsequent position, back to sixth position, receives one less point per position. Sixth position and back in ‘B’ feature(s) receive 20 points. This applies to all ‘B’s, even if more than one is run. Drivers must compete in heat race or feature to receive any points (minimum 20 points)
2. Should a driver qualify for ‘B’ feature or ‘A’ feature, and is unable to compete, they will be scored in last position and receive points accordingly. (Promoter’s discretion whether vacated position is filled in feature by next qualified driver.) In the event of a track running make-up features, if driver competes in first feature, but is unable to compete in second feature (crash, blown engine, etc.), driver will receive last position points in ‘A’ or ‘B’ feature, accordingly.
3. If less than ten entries for any given night, for each car less than ten, one point fewer than normal is awarded for feature finish. For example, if nine cars entered, feature win would then be worth 49 points; for eight entries, win would be worth 48 points, etc.
4. If more than 25 entries for any given night, for each car more than 25, 1 point will be awarded for every two cars up to a max of 5 points. I.E. 26-27 cars will earn 1 bonus point, 28-29 cars will earn 2 bonus points, up to 5 bonus points.
5. Series standings are based on a drivers 15 best finishes.
6. TIE-BREAKER: Should two or more drivers have the same point totals at season end the winner will be determined by greatest number of full points races (50 points or above awarded).
2020 Qualifying Structure
Drivers that run 10 races at tracks meeting the 2020 minimum qualifying rules will automatically be eligible for MSCRA points. If a driver competes in less then 10 races during the season then a minimum 75% of those races must be at qualifying tracks to be eligible for MSCRA points.
Drivers that don't meet the above minimums can still be eligible for MSCRA points if they get a inspections certification from a MSCRA official.
