• How many people are in this family?

• Who is the baby in the family? How do you know?

Think about who will be in your family portrait..How many people? .. Who is the tallest? ..What skin color, hair color and eye color does each person have?

An artist draws people using "shapes first then details" ! Remember to always draw with pencil first then color.

Make sure you plan ahead to fit all the people in your family on the page. Holding the paper in a horizontal will help. Think about how each person in your family is different. Think about what clothes they might be wearing.
