Improving Reading through the Blended Learning Models
Today, education is in retrograde compared to the evolution that technology presents us. The role of school districts as well as us teachers is to advance and update our students so that everything can go hand in hand, both technology and the learning methods used today. Gone are the tools of whiteboards and markers now given way to smart boards, smartphones, iPads and a universe of interactive and useful applications for students. With all of these tools, we have the opportunity to truly transform the way we educate our students and ourselves.
Over the course of this program I’ve been able to develop my qualities as a life learner, along with my growth mindset. It has helped me share my knowledge with other colleagues who have helped in one way or another.
My innovation plan is closely related to blended learning, station rotation, and small groups. Blended learning allows you to take a portion of traditional face-to-face time and use online instruction during that time.
In a K-12 setting, it could mean you're working with a software program that gives the student some essential feedback and basic guidance.
The beauty of technology is that it gives us data. It's good for delivering data to students, and then it's great for returning that student's data to the teacher. And when the teacher has the data, we can level our instruction appropriately to where those students are. With this I seek to reinforce the reading club and strengthen both physical and digital methods for my students to use and achieve the desired results in a fun, interactive way while being in a pleasant environment. With this learning method, my students were able to learn the most suitable dynamics and strategies to reinforce the reading methods implemented, likewise, I seek that my students continue learning the importance of what reading is and also improve the implementation of the lessons on a daily basis with dynamic and interactive activities that will allow us to achieve the objectives established for each one of them.
Currently with this type of learning, I have been able to develop as a conceptual leader modeling by example. I have noticed that when I do the activities with my students, they find it easier to learn because when they don’t know how to do it, they follow me in what I am presenting to them which allows for the activity to be completed successfully. I also have the support of an assistant in my classroom who helps me carry out the activities in small groups and in rotation stations, while I carry out an activity of the day according to my schedule, simultaneously with another group of students developing another activity.
The digital resources that I suggest for the development of this article are podcasts or videos that are made so that the information reaches anyone in the community interested in wanting to learn about the specific topic.
The following digital resources will be taken into account:
Smart boards.
Ipads.
Chrome.
Reading platforms:
Renaissance MyOn.
Nearpod.
These digital resources will be used in the small groups with the students to implement the blended learning models. In addition, reading resources help students choose books that interest them which they'll read at their level. Finally, using these resources, teachers can track their progress to determine where each student needs to improve to meet their stated goals.
Using Blended Learning and the station rotation model, students receive strong support in learning to read. Technology accelerates learning. The child has to participate actively.
Managing discipline and motivation is essential to achieve a positive environment in the classroom. Each station will allow children to receive guidance, build their learning and turn it into a practical experience that leads them to advance in their real life and their environment.

In conclusion, the Blended Learning Model allows integration learning by taking the best of traditional teaching and all the advantages of technology. In an era of digital transformation like the current one, it is essential to incorporate technological elements that facilitate and optimize learning methods.
