Noun Explorer Game - Grammar - Sheppard Software
(Game 1)
This software is specifically designed for early middle level students. This age group can range from 8-12 years old. This software focuses on teaching language arts such as adjectives, verbs, nouns, and how to use each in sentences in their proper form. The game I played specifically focused on nouns. It was a high speed game that promoted identifying nouns by feeding a fish a worm. At the top of the screen, there is a number of how many right and wrong answers you have made. This serves as great feedback and as a way to see what you are missing and what you need to do to correct it. This game provides a fun way for students to learn all while enforcing critical thinking skills that will help them during future tests and situations as well. This game fits into Bloom's Taxonomy based on how it engages different levels of thinking. Based on prior knowledge and lessons, students understand the topic of the game they are playing, then they remember and apply, all while analyzing the game and the correct answers. This game hits multiple targets on the Bloom Taxonomy due to its variety of thinking skills that it influences each time a student plays the game
Identifying Interaction Force Pairs
(Game 2)
In this software, students are required to click through a lesson in which at the end will have a few pictures along with questions that they can test their previously learned knowledge on. This software is targeted for Middle level students from ages 12-15. It has multiple topics that are related to physiology, such as Newton's First Law of motion. This software builds on that, allowing students to refresh on the subject before jumping into the rest of the assignment. Students identify interaction force pairs, and are also provided with a video that helps students check their understanding and answers. I think this software is very useful because students are required to do more reading versus just play games, however they will still have fun listening and testing their knowledge. This fits into Bloom's Taxonomy specifically on the remembering part. Students are asked to answer questions once they have clicked through the assignment. This will encourage students to pay close attention to what they are reading, hopefully causing them to remember the lesson. Students must also use critical thinking skills and evaluation/analysis in order to come up with their conclusion of the question.

The students then are provided with tools that may or may not help certain spots on the hand. The students must choose the best fit for their medical needs. There is a tutorial so students have something to look up to. The end reward is fully treating the customer, and leaving them with a sparkling hand. This game might not seem too complicated, but it can teach students a variety of skills in a fun educational way. It teaches them biology, as well as problem solving and critical thinking. This game can relate to the Bloom Taxonomy in a multitude of ways. Students must have previous knowledge, and remember what tools to use to treat each cut and nick based on the previous hand. There is also an application detail that students will use throughout this game, which directly relates to Bloom Taxonomy. Word Scramble - Brain Game - Sheppard Software Games
(Game 4)
This software is targeted for students of 10 years of age and up. In the game, students are given a scrambled word. They then have to use quick thinking skills in order to solve what the scrambled word is. Once you click the submit button, you will be told if you managed to get the right or wrong answer. You will then be given another scrambled word and repeat the same process in a 60 second time frame. The objective is to get as many words as you possibly can, all while the words continue to get more and more difficult. This game is great for students to develop quick thinking skills with knowledge they already have. There is a pressure component with the timer, which hopefully encourages students to have motivation to complete the game as efficiently as possible. This is a fun way to get a student's brain rolling, and would serve as a great lesson to warm up. This game falls into multiple aspects of Bloom taxonomy. It requires prior knowledge, and remembrance of letters and what words they can make. It takes appliances, and evaluation at a high speed. All of these aspects relate to the bloom taxonomy as well as this fun, educational game.
