Fall 2021
I spent the whole Fall semester student teaching with Ms. Harris in a 20 student Kindergarten class. I had the pleasure of teaching phonics, pre-reading skills, math, science, social studies, and art.
Three centers to rotate through:
Naming and coloring parts of an apple (ELA integration)
Counting apple seeds (math integration)
Using your senses to observe and learn about apples (science)
Some students need help writing their name, so highlighter and teacher assistance given.
Some students can complete it independently.
Most students are in the middle, needing some assistance.
Students observed three varieties of apples with their senses and as an exit ticket, picked which they liked best. We then graphed the results of their preferences.
