These directions are written for Google Slides but can easily be adapted to PowerPoint.

Google Slides for an If/Then Story

Objective: Demonstrate knowledge of presentation software by creating an interactive If/Then story in Google Slides.

Learning Objectives

• Apply different layouts to slides:

  • Title Slide

  • Title and Content

  • Two Content

• Perform basic functions in a presentation:

  • Animation: Movement of an object or image within a slide.

  • Transition: The motion effect used when one slide enters or changes to another slide.

• Add images and other media content to a presentation.

Activity Overview

Create a choose-your-own-adventure or If/Then presentation using Google Slides. The lesson includes:

• An If/Then presentation planning document

• A title slide

• A content slide

• A two-content slide

• At least five hyperlinks between slides

• At least one animation

• At least one transition

Instructions

1. View the completed slide presentation example.

2. Watch the tutorial about creating your story outline.

3. Create your outline using the Google Drawings planning document.

4. Complete the interactive tutorial explaining how to add links in Google Slides.

5. Watch the tutorials explaining how to add animations and transitions.

6. Create your presentation using the following requirements:

   • An If/Then presentation planning document

   • A title slide

   • A content slide

   • A two-content slide

   • At least five hyperlinks between slides

   • At least one animation

   • At least one transition

7. Submit your assignment by uploading it from Google Drive or submitting a share link.
