Overview: Many students are 'ashamed' to seek out help from peer mentors or tutors. In this course, you can earn 4-5 points on any major paper if you show proof that you consulted with a mentor or tutor.

Overview: Many students associate counselors with 'being in trouble' or 'doing poorly.' In college, however, counselors can assist such that you graduate in a timely fashion, or, walk you through struggle spots encountered during the semester. Compared to their counterparts at Manoa, KCC students tend to benefit from extra assistance around an entire host of issues: food sovereignty, digital and WiFi issues, mental health resources, stress and time management, or even issues around drugs, alcohol, or violence at home.

Student Congress, Publications, and Activities often has paid positions that pay better than minimum wage, so getting actively involved with campus life is yet another way to invest in yourself and in your college.
