Learning Intention:
Sucess Criteria
To understand how to calculate measures of central tendancy and spread of data sets
1. I can find the mean, median, mode and range of various data sets
2. I can find an equation from a table of values
Mean
To find the mean: First add up all the values, then divide by how many values there are
Median
To find the median: Find the middle score(s). If there is one middle score, its the median! If there is more than one, find the average.
Mode
The mode is the most popular value! If there are two tied for first, it is called bi-modal.
Range
The range is the highest value minus the lowest value
