Be careful with hot glassware and pressure, i.e., high pressure and vacuum.
Media, such as solvent and gas, should be completely void of water and oxygen gas. Thus, solvents should be purified according to the proper method to remove mostly water. For the gases, commercial or home-built gas trap can be adopted.
Containers also should be dried to remove the adsorbed water molecule on the surface. Usually, it is achieved by drying glassware in the oven overnight and cooling under the inert gas.
Solid starting materials can be transferred to the anaerobic conditions after drying under vacuum and fill the inert gas, such as dry argon or nitrogen. This "suck-and-blow" may be repeated at least three times.
