General Chemistry at the College of Biotechnology and Natural Resources at Chung-Ang University is a one-semester course that covers basic chemistry for the freshman of the College of Biotechnology and Natural Resources.Â
The basic concept is all about shapes and properties. Chemistry pays attention to the chemical phenomena (properties) to explain, describe, and hopefully predict them based on the molecular structure. All you need to know is to compare things, for example, bigger or smaller. No mathematics, but just basic operations are required.
Therefore, significant portions of the course are allocated for the structure of atoms, chemical bondings that connect atoms to form molecules, and the structure of molecules. The other chemical interactions that affect molecules. Basic physical chemistry will be covered in the later part of the semester.
