Dear parents/guardians,
Greetings, this is Mr. Chen, I have your child enrolled with me this semester for Career Life Education 10. I would like to take this opportunity to establish a channel of communication in order to help your child to have the best learning experience.
In Career Life Education 10, students will learn some exiting topics including aptitude survey, course planning, post secondary research, Career and Network, Job and Employment Search, Personal Goal and Financial Literacy, Well Being and Healthy Relationship.
I have been teaching in the area of Info Tech, math, and experienced in teaching career education (Planning10) since 2005 in a few cities around BC.
Besides acquiring new knowledge, it is crucial to train our younger generation to be socially responsible and to become conscientious citizens. Students will be teamed up for various projects to work and learn with and from each other through various projects.
With regard to home connection, I will be sending out mass emails to students and guardians when an assignment is graded; feel free to ask your child to share and celebrate together on what was accomplished. This will also bring attention to the student and guardian to resolve any missing assignment in a timely fashion to help students to achieve the desired grade.
Please find course outline and detailed class notes at <http://mrchen.ca>. I can be best reached by email <atchen@sd38.bc.ca> should you have any question and suggestion. I look forward to help your child on the path to become a contributing citizen of the country, savvy for potential career and education options.
Regards
Alex Chen
