ADOPT-A-NURSING HOME

The Adopt-a-Nursing Home initiative is a collaborative outreach programme led by the MPS Community Public Awareness Chapter together with the MPS Geriatric Pharmacy SIG. Through this initiative, Pusat Jagaan Mahmudah Semenyih was "adopted" for pharmacist-led deprescribing-focused medication review and medication safety support for older residents.

The first medication review session was held as on 27 June 2026 at 9.00am-1pm, and involved pharmacists reviewing residents’ medication profiles for potentially inappropriate medications and providing medication counselling.
