The 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘆𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 (𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗣𝗧) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 Pre-Convention Workshop (held in conjunction with the National Pharmacists Convention 2026) successfully concluded on 23 July 2026 at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.

ADAPT 2026 aimed to equip pharmacists with advanced competency in geriatric dysphagia management, by providing theoretical updates and practical skills in dosage form modification and enteral feeding. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to foster multidisciplinary collaboration in patient care to optimise patient outcomes, to mitigate legal and safety risks in medication administration, and ultimately, to elevate the pharmacist’s role in specialized geriatric care.

The workshop was attended by 32 participants, comprising pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from both the public and private sectors. Participants came from a range of practice settings, including hospitals, academia, community pharmacies and industry. The diverse backgrounds of the participants reflected the broad relevance of dysphagia management and the growing interest in strengthening knowledge and skills in geriatric care.
