Hey, thanks for stopping by! My name is Molly and I look foward to sharing all the information I've gathered from my CSIT 101 course with you!Â
As you can probably tell, I absolutely LOVE the color pink and am very girly, most claiming I'm the "girliest person" they've ever met. I have loved fashion as long as I can remember and have an UNHEALTHY amount of clothes that are currently taking up almost three full walk in closets. I find that filling my life with girly things keeps me happy, and if that means I have an excessive shopping addiction, I believe it's justified! Not only do I shop for myself quite a bit, but also my friends and my dog, Casey. Gift giving is one of my main love languages, so I make sure those around me are just as spoiled as what I am! How can you blame me? I have amazing friends and if I see something Casey wants, who can say no to this cutie's face?!
As far as my future career goals, I've always known I wanted to help people, but more specifically, those who struggle mentally. My mom ran an at-home daycare when I was growing up, and I have always been around children, whether it was helping her care for the kids back then or babysitting for family friends now as an adult. These two things led me to take an interest in child psychology, and I hope to be a private practice therapist or counselor one day. I believe that in helping children with their mental struggles, we can help them before they persist further, and hopefully give them a better quality of life overall throughout their older years!
Overall, this course was super fun and enjoyable. I learned way more than I thought this class would cover, including everything from the parts of a computer and their functions to new, currently emerging technology like neuromorphic computing. The SIMpaths were one of my favorite learning tools and the hands-on learning experience served to be very effective in practice. With every project, I was learning countless new things, but never to the point that it felt overwhelming or unbearable. I loved how with each one, we would make a new page to add to this website, that way, it could eventually serve as an archive of all our hard work. It's also nice to be able to take a look back at how far I've come since the beginning of the semester and to appreciate how much new learning I've gathered. I 100% would recommend this course to any CCBC students who want to learn a bit more about computers or other technology matters and to have a good time. Thank you Professor Noone for making this class so amazing!!
