Reimagining The Open Interval as a stronger community exhibition space while keeping the original concept of Pause & Focus.
The revised proposal keeps the original concept of Pause & Focus, but develops it into a stronger community exhibition space. Instead of only focusing on quietness and enclosure, the redesign balances stillness with public activity. The building becomes a sequence of intervals where visitors move from the open plaza into shaded thresholds, filtered exhibition spaces, water courtyards, workshop areas, and framed viewing spaces.
AI helped identify that the original project needed stronger site response, clearer user activity, and better environmental strategy. The revised design improves these areas by adding shaded circulation, flexible public spaces, passive cooling strategies, stronger connection to the plaza, and a clearer journey through the building.
